out for a walk....

Since I have a lot of time on my hands these days (which I'm very grateful for) I get to enjoy the nice weather, smell the flowers, you know, the simple pleasures in life. I have really loved being in Colorado Springs this last month with Karen and her family. It has been a joy to get to know her little boy, Xander. Makes the mommy clock tick. =) But also makes me realize I'm definitely not ready for the responsiblity...goodness! Karen is such a good mamma though---I'm so impressed with her. I've also enjoyed getting to know her hubby, Brian more. He's a fun guy and so lucky to be a part of our family *wink*. haaa. I can't imagine Karen's life without him in it. He's wonderful. I asked him last night what he thought about human cloning?? haa...just a few years younger :)

Well I've been back in the states for almost 2 months now. Some days it feels like I just got back and other days it feels like I never left. I miss Kyrgyzstan a lot! Especially my amazing team...they all added a lot of color to my life! Karen and I were talking about "plans" the other day...haa...Plans. Yeah...I don't think that should even be in our vocabulary. We have no idea what will happen tomorrow. We have to capture the day for what it is, every moment. If you would have asked me a year ago if I would be back in the states within 8 months of being in Kyrygzstan, I would have said 'no way'...but here I am. I'm just grateful to know that we have a sovereign God who is in control and I can put my trust in Him. Just taking each day in faith.

Well if I keep typing this is going to turn into a novel. Last time I mentioned not having any photos...so I'm going to add some to this entry.

Before the walk....

After the walk....haaa
