...Turkey Trot...

So before heading off to Cali for my friends wedding, I was able to spend at least the morning of Thanksgiving with my family. We celebrated by taking part in Ft. Collins annual Turkey Trot 5K run. I really had no intentions of running, but who knew I would actually do a mile and half run getting the tires on the strollers filled up prior to the actual race... Yeah---just a brief warm-up. Haa...needless to say by the time the actual race came around I was done 'trotting'. =) Quite an adventure. Here are some pictures from the race. Oooh and I'm happy to say we came in last place (not that we were trying to win). Literally we were the last people to cross the finish line...maybe that's because we started 5 mins. later then everyone else or because we had a 2, 4, 5, and 6 year old with only one stroller---the road way was all ours. I was so impressed with Macayla (5 years old)...she pretty much walked the entire thing, however lesson learned: next year bring enough strollers for ALL the kids---now do you get why we were last. =) Great fun though!

Side note: if you are ever traveling via airplane on Thanksgiving go for SouthWest airlines...they give you a kiss (hershey that is)....yeaah...like that makes up for missing the holiday with your family :)
