Ch-ch-ch-changes...

Okay, so I just realized it's been 2 months since I posted. Now for all you avid readers out there I am truly sorry (haa...yah, cause I'm sure many people follow my blog...it's that good. ha).

Wow--I have so much to write about I don't even know where to begin. The last post was Easter--hmm...since then I have moved into my own apartment, got a job, traveled to Cali to watch my bro get married, spent a week at a beach house with my wonderful family, and raced in my first (definitely not my last) sprint-triathlon. Good times for sure.

My apartment is AMAZING! Never thought I would be able to live by myself, but I have to say I truly luv it. I live really close to my cousin Karen and her family so it's nice to hop on the bike and go visit or when I'm lazy drive over there. The process of leasing the apt. and moving in went super fast & smooth. I painted my living room a deep green and the kitchen chocolate brown. I had all these ideas on how to decorate, but have gotten lazy. Still haven't really organized my bedroom...pathetic I know. But hey it's my apartment and I can do what I want *wink*.

...living room (there's real furniture now)...

JOB: God provided an amazing job @ Compassion International! I feel so blessed to be apart of another amazing organization and am really enjoying my time there. I have been there a little over a month now and love it more every day. For now it is just a temp position---so praying God provides a permanent job soon. I have been applying for a few positions...just have to wait and see. Check 'em out online:

Cali: My bro married the love of his life and an awesome girl (so excited to have a sister-n-luv) Jaci. Their wedding was beautiful and it was wonderful having family/friends there to catch up with. Here are a few pictures from the wedding:

After the wedding the family went to Newport Beach for the week. It was such an amazing time...relaxing...fun...I had the stomach flu basically the entire time...fun...adventuresome...all around good times. Check out some pics:

Wow---this is a long 'dear diary entry' (sorry about that) but this is the last thing I'll talk about.

Danskin Sprint-Triathlon 2009: Truly an amazing experience. It's hard to put into words the kind of feelings I had after completing the race. I had been training for 14 weeks and it was worth every minute spent in the pool, on the bike, or on the road running. I have to say that the moment I crossed the finish line was one of the proudest moments in my life so far. I have a lot of 'personal' goals in life and I have to say I am not in the habit of following through on these goals, so to start something and finish it was like a breath a fresh air. The race was fantastic! My goal was to finish and not be last. Well I did both. I actually completed the race in about 1:45 mins. not too shabby for a first go around. The swimming was definitely the most challenging part. Not that it was hard, but the open-water swimming with loads of other swimmers around was a little bit nerve-racking. The part I enjoyed the most was definitely the biking...totally addicting! Actually the entire experience is totally addicting, that's why I am starting training next week for an Olympic distance Triathlon in 6 weeks! WOohoo. It will be a 1 1/2 swim, 30 mile bike, and a 6.2 mile run. This time I may die. haahaa. Once again the goal is to finish and not be last. I'll let you know how it goes. For now here are some tri pics:
