...Home Sweet Home...

I have arrived safely to my new home! I have spent the last few days adjusting to the sights, sounds and everything else that is new! I absolutely love the city and my team!

My transition so far has been really good. Ever since I got on my first flight from America I have had an overwhelming sense of peace. I really feel at home in this new environment and my roommate Julie is wonderful! Our apartment is much bigger and roomer than I expected. It really is a place of rest.

There are some other foreigners in the city teaching English, etc. and last night I got to meet 2 other girls around my age who are friends with Julie (my roommate). We had a great time getting to know one another and we really connected well. I look forward to spending more time with them and getting to know them.

I will start language classes this coming Monday  This will definitely be a challenging time, but I am looking forward to diving into the studies and really connecting with the people and the culture. In October I will start teaching English at a local university. That should be a fun and good way to meet some local students.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!
