6-month's later....

Woah. I seriously am not good at this blogging stuff. Needless to say way too much has happened in the last 6 months (at some points has felt like 6 years) to talk about in one blog post. And actually I am not sure what I am going to talk about in this posting anyway. It just may be a bunch of random thoughts.

I just scrolled down my page and saw that I posted about my "new" apartment and the freshly painted walls, etc...well that adventure is over. I am pretty sure I spent about 3 months in that sanctuary. Life happens and you just have to ride the wave...could go into all the details, but I'll spare you. Point is I am saying good-bye to my first "all-by-myself" apartment this week and I have to say it is kind of sad. Not that I don't like living with my extended family (I mean they are my best friends and family, what's better than that) but it was nice to have my own place, decorate my own way, be messy if I wanted to, sleep in, etc. etc. Even though I will miss my sweet hizzidy-houze, I will not miss paying rent for a place I have not "lived" in for over 5 months. yea, that's definitely the good part.

Sorry I did not keep you guys posted about Brian and all of that craziness...I am sure however most of you have heard the ups and downs through facebook status/updates, etc. It has been quite a journey for our family, especially for Brian and Karen. God is so faithful and amazing to answer our cries to prolong Brian's life, because that is just what He did. Last post I believe was about Brian still in ICU. Well he made it out of ICU, up to Rehab, and went home from the hospital in November. He is an absolute miracle. He is continuing to improve daily with his mental/physical abilities and God-willing will soon be driving again! We are so thankful to have him in our lives and wouldn't want it any other way.

O something exciting I just turned 26 yesterday. It was a wonderful birthday and I felt much better about 26 than I did about 25. I was seriously so sad to turn 25...it was weird. So yea--another year older and with that new goals to accomplish for the year. I typically like to set my "new years resolutions" from my birthday on...so here are a few:

*Work with a personal trainer--reach my goal weight (April 2010-2011)
*Hike the Grand Canyon (April 2010)
*Participate in my 2nd Sprint Triathlon (August 2010)
*Graduate with my Master's degree by September 2010
*Run a half-marathon out of state (2010)
*Visit my bestie in NYC (2010)
*Start saving to take my Grandma to Sweden or Ireland by summer 2011

And at this time my brain is tired...going to bed. =) Another goal: blog more than once every 6 months (all of 2010)
